Immortali

An army of men, brave and beautiful, ready to challenge life. They are the Persian heroes, an elite army never reduced in number or strength, as the fall of one member in battle corresponded with the immediate replacement by another soldier, suggesting an idea of immortality and resurrection. This army also represents the all-human desire for immortality, not so much physical as spiritual. The will to leave an imprint through the actions performed and thoughts expressed in life and thus the desire that these traces can be recognised and followed by those who will come after us.
