Carlo Zoli

Fourth descendant of a family of ceramic artists, Carlo Zoli was born in the southern Italian city of Bari in 1959. Currently, he lives and works in Faenza.

The family tradition goes back to the early twentieth century, when the great-grandfather Carlo worked as a ceramist at Borgo Durbecco, in Faenza.

His grandfather Paolo was a painter for the famous Minardi brothers and owner of the studio ā€œLa Faienceā€, which collaborated with artists such as Pietro Melandri, Roberto Sella and Franco Nonni.

His father Franco was a painter, sculptor and teacher of artistic decoration; he formed Carlo, artistically and humanly.

Similar artistic qualities allowed Carlo to emerge quickly and collect acclaim in Italy and abroad, from an early age.
